COA Offers Senior Farmers'
Market Voucher Program |
Each year, the Council’s voucher program provides
Delaware County residents age 60 and over with
vouchers for fresh foods from farmers’ markets in
Delaware, Sunbury, and Powell. The vouchers can
be used to purchase fresh
fruits and veggies, herbs,
baked goods, honey, and
even food-bearing plants.
Participants who sign up
before August 1 will receive
thirty vouchers with a total
value of $60. Those who
sign up on or after August 1 will receive fifteen
vouchers with a total value of $30. All vouchers are
valid through October 31, 2009.
Applicants must be 60 and over, and certain
income restrictions apply. Vouchers are available on
a first-come, first-served basis. Applications will be

| 2010-2011 Provider Applications Available |
The Council for Older Adults is accepting applications from qualified providers of in-home and community-based services for 2010 and 2011 under its Senior Choices program. Not-for-profit, public and private firms may request application materials, Conditions of Participation and Service Specifications for the following services: adult day care, homemaker and homemaker escort services, nursing services, personal care, respite, institutional respite, emergency response, medical transportation, durable medical equipment and supplies (including incontinence products), minor home repair/modification and chore services. To be eligible for consideration for approval as a new service provider beginning January 1, 2010 your application fee of $215 and application must be written and submitted to the Council for Older Adults no later than August 31, 2009. 2010 Grant Applications Available |
Applications are now available for the 2010 funding of community programs and services for older adults in Delaware County. Grant funding will be made available by the Council for Older Adults to other non-profit organizations serving Delaware County intended to address a variety of needs of those adults age 60 years and over. The grants can be used to continue services funded through previously awarded grants from the Council, to create new services, or to expand existing services. Funding is made available to the Council through Delaware County’s local senior services levy.
